We Need Your Help!
We would like to encourage and invite you to explore all of the different
volunteer opportunities available at Rand Road Elementary. The teachers,
staff and PTA can always use your help! Whether you volunteer in the classroom
or through the PTA, there are volunteer opportunities to accommodate any
schedule. Please consider donating some of your time to help make Rand
Road Elementary the best school it can be.

Rand Road Community Service Project
Our school is collecting Aluminum Tabs to help raise money for the Ronald
McDonald House in Durham, NC. Last year the school collected over 160
lbs of tabs! The recycle dealer used by the school has offered his services
for free so that all money earned goes directly to the Ronald McDonald
Charity. Please continue to save and turn in your tabs and help support
this wonderful charity.

Rand Road Recycle Challenge
Rand road is participating in the Recycle Challenge to recycle aluminum
beverage cans, help fight litter, save valuable resources, conserve energy
and EARN MONEY! There is a convenient container to recycle your cans located
at the rear entrance of the school (bus drop off area). The money earned
from your recycled cans will be used to purchase much needed materials
for our school.
No Fuss Fundraisers
Shop at any of the following stores and a percentage of your
purchase will be donated to Rand Road Elementary! More information on
how to participate for each program is listed below.
Food
Lion Shop & Share
Food Lion Shop & Share is the easiest, most convenient way to raise
money for our school. Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP
card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to the
school. Families need to sign up for this program either on line at the
web site or by calling 1-704-633-8250, Ext. 3810.
Harris
Teeter
Link up your grocery cards to help our school earn easy fundraising money!
When customers purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using their
VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars
to the schools of their choice. Our school number is #6240.
Target
Take Charge of Education
When using your Target Visa , declare Rand Road as the school you'd like
to benefit, and we will receive 1% of all purchases you make at Target
and 1/2% of purchases you make at other stores. A Target Guest Card (store
credit card) will also give Rand Road 1% of your Target purchases. Ask
for an application for the Visa or Guest Card at the Target service desk.
Kroger Plus Card for Education
Print out and take this bar
code to a local Kroger store and have the cashier scan the bar code
along with your Kroger Plus Card. This will register your card for our
school. You only have to scan this bar code one time for this school year.
Every time you shop at Kroger and use your Kroger Plus Card, our school
will electronically earn credit toward free educational equipment. If
you do not have a Kroger Plus Card, please get one at any Kroger store,
take this with you, and you can start earning credit for our school. Thank
you for your support.
